We went to Prague, again.
I haven’t been posting for a while. But no longer since I started my blog I also started full-time office job which consumed a lot of time and my energy. I have to admit I still need to learn how to manage my work-life balance and be always motivated to do all the things that make my life interesting and more colourful.
To explain it a bit…
It has been 4/5 months since my everyday routine has changed due to the new job which leaves me about 3 hours of free time, 5 days per week and 2 days off which is weekend. It doesn’t seem so promising when you have so little time for yourself, especially comparing to university days when I had about 25 hours of studying per week including 12h only at the lectures and the rest was independent studying. Well, this is adulthood I guess, sometimes it may be a bit difficult to switch to a new lifestyle.
Throughout this time I had many good moments when I managed to engage with many areas in my life I used to do such as tripping, working out, dancing and meeting with people. But I had tough times I felt like I have no motivation anymore to do things I love. I’d better stay in my comfort zone watching films and eating popcorn. But you know what, quickly I realized how it is important to say no to the laziness and put more effort everyday towards the things that in the end of the day will make you happy, and when you will look at the bigger picture you are proud of yourself. Of course, there is time for relaxing, but finally, it’s time for working your ass off. It’s called life balance and it’s the greatest thing you can achieve to stay happy.
That is why I am here again, to share my experience and get you inspired, with a bigger motivation than before. I hope you’ll enjoy it. Even though I wanted this blog to be more public than private, it feels good to share the thoughts so I will do it more often. The vision has changed haha.
Without further do let’s get to the main topic! P R A G U E
I love photography and editing so I will post a lot of pictures, this was my main idea to set up a blog, to share inspirations. I love traveling & fashion, so it’s gonna be a blend of two of these plus my experiences 😉
So, it has been the second time I went to Prague with my boyfriend for the anniversary. It was a magic time for both of us. This place is just perfect for spending your quality time together in Autumn. But, in fact, you may love Prague or hate it. Depends on your personality. My boyfriend and I are very similar if it comes to what we like. If you are into grunge, art, and discovering the history, also, marvelous architecture blended with the brutal realism, if you enjoy discovering the hidden beauty of unnoticeable streets behind the corners, exposing the poverty and lower-class society living their daily lives in the background of the beautiful city with the breathtaking landscape around and perfectly planned city, full of colourful, majestic buildings, this place is for you.
In my eyes, Prague is very atmospherical and romantic. I felt this way the first time, and the second time. I don’t know about the vibe in other seasons but in autumn is perfect. Lovely place for walks, long talks and getting lost. It’s not dynamic, sparkling & shining like London or Paris, warm like Greece or Spain, it’s… refreshing! As me and my boyfriend, we both were a bit overwhelmed with our new lifestyle and the routine, we both needed to come back to our safe place, we both can charge our batteries. It brought so much peace & relax, made us thoughtful but at the same time, it left us in a good mood and fun. Prague is definitely different than any other city in Europe. My boyfriend & I just loved it.
Apart from the artistic side of Prague, you will find a lot of good food. Yes, FOODIE! I went to many restaurants, but my beloved one is Kozlovnia chain of restaurants. And drinks – beer is so cheap there, it’s even cheaper than water! I know haha. Try Pilsner or Koziel, best dark one which is called Koziel Czerny. What is cool about Prague is that you can buy Pizza slices everywhere. So if you want to eat something on the go it’s perfect. Communication is very cheap, and shops are open for a long time! Even on weekends, you can go late clothes shopping until 10PM and food till 11PM. Best dessert? Trdelnik – rolled pastry filled with whipped cream and fruits. What to visit? Carol Bridge, The National Musem, Main Square, and The Castle are must-to-go.
To be honest last year we spent the most time on sightseeing. This year we just went to places we really liked, just to admire the view, shop, and eat our favourite food. The only new place we have been too was National Museum, as it was closed for nearly 8 years because of the renovations. It was opened again few weeks before we came back again this year. So we were lucky. It’s very beautiful inside so it’s worth standing 2 hours in the queue outside. I am not kidding. 2 hours. But, it may be as it’s just opened and it’s free entry until the end of this year. Happy to say, we made lots of photos. I will share some below <3
